Pod races and lightsaber-ing are about to get a lot more intense. The 3-D version of "Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace" is headed to theaters Feb. 10, 2012, Lucasfilm and Twentieth Century Fox announced.

The choice to add the 3-D treatment specifically to "Phantom Menace" comes from the studio's opinion that "Episode I delivers some of the Saga's most stunning and spectacular sequences."
