Carrie Underwood’s football-star boyfriend is calling for a timeout.

The two have been tight for several months: Tony Romo flew to Nashville to celebrate the American Idol cutie’s 24th birthday recently, and she returned the favor, flying to Dallas to celebrate his 27th.

But now, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback has told Underwood that he wants to bench their relationship during the football season, according to the National Enquirer. Football season begins in September and lasts until January.

“Carrie thought that they were moving closer to a more committed relationship,” a source tells the tab. Romo asked Underwood to give him space for his career once before, and she did, but this time, the request has hit a sour note with her, says the source, who adds, “Carrie wants a firm commitment from Tony.”

Sick Spears spottedLooks like Britney Spears needs the help of her manager and others she keeps badmouthing.

The "Toxic" singer was reportedly spotted being carried out of a men’s room where she had been sick, her makeup smeared and wig askew, according to the London Sun. Spears had been spending time with some friends at the Sky Bar in L.A.’s Mondrian Hotel.

“She had a room booked at the hotel but was too ill to stay and was begging her bodyguard to take her home,” a source told the paper. “There was vomit down the front of her black dress and around her mouth.  ... It was really sad. Everyone thinks she’s getting back on track after her comeback shows but that’s clearly not the case. I think she needs proper help.”

Spears was overheard telling hotel staff, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. Things aren’t going well for me at the moment.”

Notes from all overQuincy Jones says he can’t do anything to help former protégés Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston with their comebacks. “I couldn’t help them,” the legendary producer told the London Express. “I don’t know if they can do it. I’m not a psychic, just a producer.”  ... Joey Fatone says that he joined “Dancing With the Stars” to lose weight. “I’ve actually (been) asked to do the show from the very first season,” Fatone told CNBC’s Donny Deutsch, but he says he was always busy. “I’ve seen a lot of people starting to lose weight and all. And the fourth season I finally, ‘You know what? What the heck. Let’s give it a shot.’” He says he’s now in the best shape of his life.  ... Jessica Alba is no fan of the paparazzi. “I could give two [bleeps] about them,” the "Fantastic Four" star tells Parade. “They’re so lame, I can’t even believe that’s a real job. I can’t imagine they even pay taxes.”
