Bachelorettes, beware: Brad Womack hasn't just broken hearts, but he's broken the law, too.

E! News has learned that the bar owner, who's back for another go-round on the new season of ABC's The Bachelor, has a rap sheet.

So much for background checks!

Per court records obtained by E! News, the 38-year-old Womack was busted way back in 1993 in his home state of Texas for forging a driver's license.

Womack's past may have escaped network scrutiny because Mr. Handsome's rap sheet lists his birth name, Stephen Bradley Pickelsimer, and not the surname he's since taken.

Along with the felony forgery/counterfeiting charge which nabbed Womack 180 days of probation, according to Star, he also was busted for public intoxication and for passing a bad check.

The Austin resident is currently starring in the new season of The Bachelor after turning down DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft in the finale of season 11 in 2007.

A rep for Warner Horizon, which produces The Bachelor, declined to comment.
