Even though he had a loophole and more than enough time to submit himself for Emmy consideration, Charlie Sheen will not be in the lead comedy actor race for his performance on last season's Two and a Half Men.

The question is this: Did he purposely decide to not to submit himself, or did he just pull a Sheen and completely forget about what was happening outside his crazy bubble? Plus, we've got news on a Glee star going solo, TV pregnancy dish and a Housewives franchise getting another season in today's TV Update...

The official Emmys ballot was released by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Monday night, and Sheen's name was not listed. A source tells THR that he was aware of all the deadlines, and blew each and every one. So, either Charlie finally took the high road and decided not to run after the year o' scandal, or he simply didn't get his act together in time. (Which reason sounds more plausible to you?)

In addition, CBS opted not to include Two and a Half Men in their Best Comedy Series race after the Sheen debacle, but Jon Cryer, who won for his supporting role in 2009, Angus T. Jones, Holland Taylor, Conchata Ferrell and guest star Jane Lynch (this year's host) have all submitted themselves for an Emmy. Nominations will be announced Thursday, July 14.

Glee: Santana fans, you are in for a real treat. There have been rumors that Naya Rivera was getting a solo album deal, and now THR has confirmed the news. She will begin recording it after the Glee tour finishes, but presumably before they start shooting season three. Basically, girl is going to be busy.

Real Housewives of New Jersey: Bravo has given the greenlight to a fourth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey franchise. This season's premiere brought the network the highest-rated season premiere ever among adults 18-49, and the highest-rated season premiere in Housewives history.

In Plain Sight: In this Sunday's episode, Mary Shannon (Mary McCormack) will reveal to her partner Marshall Mann (Fred Weller) that she is preggo. Who's the baby's daddy? That will also be revealed during the episode. Start placing your bets now.

90210: TVLine.com reports that Trevor Donovan will not be returning to 90210 next season...at least as a series regular. Teddy will be back as a guest star for approximately five episodes. Trevor says in a statement to the site: "To be able to simultaneously take on a challenging role and bring awareness to a relevant social issue was a win-win for me. I'm looking forward to what opportunities and adventures lie ahead."

Community: Die-hard Community fans will enjoy this interview with Dan Harmon, in which he talks in detail about every single season-two episode in a ginormous four-part series. Great read during a slow, summer day. Why go outside when the glow of a computer screen gives you all the light you need?
