On Monday morning, actor and comedian Tracy Morgan gave his first interview since suffering critical injuries in a car crash last year.
"I can't believe I'm here," he told TODAY's Matt Lauer in the wake of the accident. "I can't believe I'm in front of you."
It was an open and emotionally raw talk, and it touched those close to the funnyman.
When it was over, past co-stars, friends and admirers of the former "Saturday Night Live" and "30 Rock" star were quick to share their love and support.
During his sit-down with Lauer, Morgan vowed, "I'll get back to making you laugh — I promise you." That was welcome news to fans, who were clearly moved by what they saw from him.
We, too, wish Morgan the best and hope that this is just the beginning of his return to the small screen.
