Are you "H.A.M.?"

After half a year's hype and feverish anticipation by both artists' fans, that's the big question posed by Kanye West and Jay-Z on the first single from their upcoming joint album, Watch the Throne.

And no, we're not talking about the meat, y'all.

"H.A.M." is a not so subtle acronym for "Hard as a Motherf---er," which His Gay Fishness and H.O.V.A. toss around as liberally as they do the "N word," "F-word" and "Ho's" in a song featuring a robotic backing beat and heavy anthem provided by 19-year-old wunderkind Lex Luger.

Hitting radio stations on the propitious day of 1-11-11,"H.A.M." is in-your-face, showcasing some virtuoso rapping on Jay and 'Ye's part. But the track probably can't help but illicit snickers among more than a few of the emcees' hardcore fans, whose response when they listen to the track's scattershot operatic chorus and over-the-top orchestration is likely to be "WTF?!"

No word yet on a street date for Watch the Throne, which initially began as an EP before the duo opted to make a full-blown record.

But for those wanting a preview of West and Jay-Z hamming it up, you can listen to it here, but beware: "H.A.M." contains explicit language that may not be suitable for some audiences.
