How is Tina Fey going to explain this to Liz Lemon?
The 30 Rock star is expecting her second child with husband Jeff Richmond, Fey revealed during a sit-down with Oprah Winfrey that's scheduled to air next Tuesday.
Great news, just so long as it doesn't mean 30 Rock is ending anytime soon. But how can it, with all the new material Fey's about to get?!
After the Oprah bombshell, Fey's rep confirmed to E! News that the Emmy-winning actress and writer is five months along.
She and Richmond also have a 5-year-old daughter, Alice, who Fey has previously credited with inspiring some of Liz Lemon's most memorable lines, such as, "I want to go to there."
Ironically, Fey wrote a humorous essay for the New Yorker's February issue, in which she expounded on being a 40-year-old working mom and how inappropriate it is for people to ask others if they plan to have more kids.
"I considered it such an impolite question that for years I didn't even ask myself," she wrote. "Thirty-five turns into 40 faster than McDonald's food turns into cold non-food."
