The end is nigh! Or at least the beginning of the end is nigh. The final season of HBO's "True Blood" kicks off in June, and the network has offered up a taste of what's to come for fans of the vampire series.
When last viewers left the bloodsuckers (and werewolves, witches, fairies and more), the situation was dire. Infected zombie-like vamps were on the prowl, while humans and so-called safe vampires tried to make a deal to keep everyone safe.
But since then, it seems things have gone from bad to worse. As a new trailer reveals, the government has turned its back on Bon Temps and beyond.
"How can this be happening in this country in this day and age, that our government would leave us for dead?" heroine Sookie asks as the camera pans to the words "FEMA help us" scrawled on the ground. "There's no one left!"
What does that mean? All will be revealed when the seventh season of "True Blood" premieres June 22 on HBO.
