“Teen Mom 2” star Jenelle Evans can be seen throwing punch after punch in the video that led to her most recent arrest, but according to her lawyer, Evans was the really the victim — of a set up.

Attorney Dustin Sullivan spoke to TMZ to share his thoughts about what led to the brawl. Despite talk of jealousy and bad blood from other sources, it seems Sullivan believes that money was the real motivator.

Sullivan claims that some parties, including fight-instigator Brittany Maggard, were “paid substantially” for clips and images of the event, and he has a “serious problem” with that. Sullivan is also “highly suspicious” of the fact that Brittany Truett, the woman on the receiving end of Evans’ punches, waited five days before calling authorities.

“Based on the information that I have received, I believe Jenelle was set up,” the lawyer told TMZ.

Evans wasn't the only one arrested following the release of the video. Both Maggard and Truett have since been charged with disorderly conduct.
