Compared to talk television’s other workplace romance news, it seemed Jimmy Kimmel’s recent relationship reveal was hardly worth a raised eyebrow. After all, Kimmel’s extracurricular activity with a head writer can’t compete with the intern rumors still swirling about married late-night legend David Letterman, can it?

It can, if allegations concerning the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host and his on-the-job girlfriend, Molly McNearney, are to be believed.

Kimmel’s staff members are said to troubled by the romance and the unfair promotions it’s earned McNearney. According to a report published to Radar Online, the behind-the-scenes drama already led one employee to quit and left others bitter about the underqualified but overly confident McNearney.

“People on the staff think she has become nasty lately,” an insider explained. “Molly McNearney definitely has been using her relationship with Jimmy to move up in the show, and he definitely played favorites with her over other more qualified staffers.”

This isn’t the first time McNearney’s credentials have come under question. In July of 2008, when rumors of Kimmel and McNearney first circulated, gossip blog Gawker reported a tip that claimed McNearney had “been promoted all the way (with one stop in between) from assistant to head writer for ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ ”

After appearing at the Hollywood Style Awards with a 9-year-old child acting as her personal dress-wrangler, Pamela Anderson found herself under fire. “People were genuinely shocked,” an onlooker explained to the New York Post’s Page Six. “(The kid) didn't even have her own seat and had to sit at Pamela's feet, where people nearly stepped on her to get to the stage.” The child-prop stunt even earned Anderson the attention of the Child Labor Coalition. “I would want to speak to the child to ask her if it is something she willingly did,” a spokesperson said. “Nine is very young, and an awards ceremony is a long time for a child to be out holding a dress.” … Don’t expect “Dancing With the Stars” former flames Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff to reconsider their recent breakup. “There's nothing that can be done,” Chmerkovskiy told E! Pressed further, the ballroom hunk simply shook his head and said, “No.” … When “The Queen of Pop” got her first glimpse of Lady Gaga, Madonna liked what she saw — a mirror image of her own early career. “I see myself in Lady Gaga,” she revealed to Rolling Stone. “When I saw her, she didn’t have a lot of money for her production. She’s got holes in her fishnets, and there are mistakes everywhere. It was kind of a mess, but I can see that she has that IT Factor. It’s nice to see that at a raw stage.”
