Heidi Montag is trapped inside Spencer Pratt’s prison. At least that’s how Life & Style is putting it. Pratt is barely leaving the house, and he’s making Heidi stick close to his side. Furthermore, he’s brought a former Marine in to be their roommate (he’s taking up residence in the spare bedroom).

“It’s true, I do have a Marine in the house,” Spencer told Life & Style. “He’s helping me write a script. And yes, we’ve been out of the house only three times this month, but that’s because I’m busy working on several business ventures.”

Life & Style goes on to say that the couple is not living in the lavish Hollywood Hills, Calif., home that’s featured on “The Hills,” but instead is in an “unkempt and unsafe home” in Pacific Palisades.

“The living room is filled with Spencer’s mess, which Heidi often has to clean up,” according to the magazine. And Spencer lines the window with crystals, which he believes will keep bad spirits out but keep Heidi locked in,” according to a source who spoke to the magazine.

Pratt did not respond to requests for comment about the claims.

Director vouches for LiLoThe director of “Machete,” the next film featuring Lindsay Lohan, is saying that Lohan is a victim of bad press. “Lindsay isn’t any different from any girl her age,” director Robert Rodriguez told In Touch Weekly. “She has the same problems that a lot of our daughters have, but she’s in the public eye all the time. I’ve seen them carry some other girl the same age out of that same club and nobody cares a damn.”

Lohan filmed her part of the film in three days, according to reports. Robert De Niro, Steven Seagal and Michelle Rodriguez are also attached to “Machete,” which comes out Sept. 3.

Hasselbeck-Andrews situation: Really? Here’s a feud that will be forever filed under the category of things that have really been blown out of proportion: that of Elisabeth Hasselbeck versus Erin Andrews.

Hasselbeck and Andrews, whether you side with them personally or not, really are lovely people and they deserve to have things spelled out so everyone can move on. So here we go: It’s fact that Hasselbeck did call Andrews to apologize for her comments about her skimpy “Dancing With the Stars” costumes and for saying that Andrews’ stalker “could’ve waited 12 weeks and seen this … without the prison time.”

However, she got Andrews’ voice mail, and Andrews didn’t call her back. Andrews has said that she’s called, but that’s been buried in favor of the far more interesting angle — that the two didn’t speak.

Reps for Hasselbeck and Andrews confirm this account. Also, Hasselbeck apologized on her own (with the counsel of her daughter Grace). Barbara Walters was never involved, as some reports suggest. Those reports are completely false, according to eyewitnesses who were on hand when Walters and Hasselbeck discussed the incident.

Finally, it’s understood by Andrews that Hasselbeck is sorry this ever took place, and both women feel like the situation took on a life of its own, according to sources close to both.
