Update, 9:50 a.m. PT: Actor Jonathon Rhys Meyers was rushed to a London hospital Tuesday and released and initial reports said the actor had attempted suicide by overdosing on pills. TMZ later backed off that claim and along with The Hollywood Reporter, quoted a source close to the actor: "It was not a suicide attempt. He did relapse and was hospitalized briefly for that, but was released."

According to U.K. paper The Sun, paramedics on Tuesday night found the "Tudors" actor slumped on the floor of his London home, and for 30 minutes refused treatment before he allowed paramedics to take him to a hospital for treatment. Officials have confirmed that officers were dispatched to his home but offered no specifics.

Rhys Meyers, 33, has been in and out of rehab on five separate occasions. He was released from the hospital Wednesday, and has not commented on the incident.
