We all know how lovelorn Jennifer Aniston is. From Brad Pitt to Gerard Butler to John Mayer, we've chronicled all the men--and the heartbreak--in her life.

With a new movie to promote, Jen has been popping up everywhere...but still appears to be solo. Now comes word that she hasn't dated in more than a year. Could our favorite Friend really be that hard up for a boyfriend?

You'd never guess, but reports of her guy-less life are really...

So true!

In a sit-down with People, Aniston opens up like you've never seen her before, kicking back with a "vodka-tini" to hype her latest movie, Just Go With It, costarring Adam Sandler, and setting the record straight on her love life and plans for the future.

The actress, who turns 42 on Friday (where'd the time go?), tackled the dating-and-babies gossip head on, telling the magazine that--contrary to popular myth--she really has been out of the dating scene for at least a good year and a half, and no, she has no plans to adopt a baby.

"I think people honestly just want to see me as a mom and married and barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen," she said with a laugh. "And I just want to say, 'Everybody, relax! It's going to happen.' "

Just not on other people's timetable. Asked about her thoughts on her past relationships, Jen revealed she had no regrets.

"First thought? Awesome," she exclaimed. "Whether they've lasted this long or that long, they were all great."

And like the title of her new comedy, Aniston's really is just going with it.

"I learned from every single one of [my relationships]," she noted. "I think I'm just sort of a late bloomer. Whatever is supposed to be my destiny, my life person, I think I just had to go through all these stages first. There's no part of me that doesn't know that everything is happening the way it's supposed to be happening."

To that end, she's only allowed her friends to set her up twice in the past 10 years, saying she's "really picky."

Aniston also shrugged off those tall tales that she's unhappy.

"I'm really happy. Really!" she added. "My version of happiness is sitting where I'm sitting right now."

As for kids and the pressures that come with it, Aniston is open to the idea of going the single-mom route "if it really led to that place" but confessed, "I just don't think that's going to be the case."

But if a family is in her future, she said, "I'll be singing from the mountaintop."

Hallelujah!
