So True? So False? Is a Former American Idol Finalist Really Stripping Down for Chippendales?!

You know how the old adage goes: if it's good enough for a former washed-up boy-bander, it's good enough for a reality show has-been.

You know how the old adage goes: if it's good enough for a former washed-up boy-bander, it's good enough for a reality show has-been.

Or something.

But is American Idol's season-five finalist Ace Young (you may not remember his voice, but you'll remember that adorable mug) really following in the footsteps of 98 Degrees' Jeff Timmons and joining up with the professional trou-droppers at Chippendales?

Dust off those chaps. And bachelorette parties, get those reservations ready, because this rumor is...

So...well, maybe!

Sure, like Timmons, Young is unlikely to be going the full monty, but Jeff's tenure as the bowtie-donning, shirt cuff-starching celebrity emcee has been so successful (his time has been extended through summer, and he's selling out every weekend, believe it or not) that Chippendales brass is eager to find another famous face to play ringleader to the festivities.

A rep for the gentlewomen's club confirms to E! News that the Idol finalist popped in to see a show recently to check out the format, and while a hosting stint is "possible," the rep says no negotiations have yet been entered into.

"But yes, we are interested in Ace and looking for interested hot male celebs to host and sing," the rep said.

So watch this space, ladies. And hey--eyes up here.
