And last night, while accepting her much deserved Generation Award at the MTV Movie Awards, she got a lot off her chest about the current state of Young Hollywood--especially those denizens who've made sex tapes, got their start in a reality show or taken nude cell phone pics of themselves.
And while the first two are fair enough and could cover any number of hot young starlets, it was that last gripe that caught the ear of the nation, who did the collective dissing math and determined that Witherspoon was speaking of none other than Blake Lively.
There's no getting around that timing, after all. But could it really be true? Did Reese deliver a grand old slam to the Gossip Girl in front of the entire cable-watching nation? Get Leo at the ready, because this rumor is...

"Reese was absolutely not referencing Blake Lively," Witherspoon's rep told E! News.
So who was she talking about when she delivered the following withering blow?
"I just want to say to all the girls out there, I know it's cool to be bad. I get it," Reese said. "All right, it's cool to be bad, but it's also possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show.
"When I came up in this business, if you made a sex tape, you were embarrassed and you hid it under your bed. And like if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hide your face, people. Hide your face."
Well, your guess is as good as ours. Just keep Blake out of it--poor girl's been through enough this week. Good thing she's got such a broad, A-list shoulder to cry on.
