Life in the “Jersey Shore” house might look like a booze-filled, beach-front vacation for its perma-tanned residents, but according to diminutive scene stealer Snooki, it’s more of a prison than a party house.
“It messes with your head," Snooki told Rolling Stone magazine of the constant camera coverage. “That's why we go crazy. That's why we fight with each other. That's why we drink. We're living in a house for two months with that sh--. We can't have cell phones, TV, radio or the Internet. If the president died, we'd have no idea. There's no normalcy. It's just like prison, with cameras.”
And with a landline phone and a grill and — oh, yeah, freedom. Despite “prison” life, Snooki doesn’t plan to turn her back on reality TV anytime soon. In fact, she even has high hopes for her post-‘Shore’ days.
"When ‘Jersey Shore’ ends I'm going to do more spinoffs,” the 23-year-old said. “If MTV doesn't want them, another network will be, like, 'What does Snooki do now?' or 'Snooki's getting married!'”
That’s just beginning. Once Snooki has cycled through her television options, she wants to branch out beyond the boob tube.
“What I'd like is to turn out like Jessica Simpson, with her whole brand,” the MTV star explained. “She makes millions...I'm trying to build an empire, because after this I can't get a normal job. I mean, how do I go and sit behind a desk?"
