Given how easily Simon Cowell tells “American Idol” hopefuls that they don’t “look the part” or “have the body of a pop star,” it’s no surprise that looks matter to the man. And according to a new interview in the Daily Mail, it’s his own that concern him the most.
"Vain? Yeah, I am,” Simon easily admitted. “But to be honest with you, I can't think of one person who is on TV who isn't vain. It's the nature of the beast. If you are on TV then you have a vanity, for sure. Just admit it! Why not?”
But what about Simon’s purported pectoral implants? Earlier this month Louis Walsh, his co-star from the U.K.’s hit TV show “X-Factor” claimed his pal boasted “new t*ts.” “No, absolutely not. I have not had cosmetic surgery," Simon assured the Daily Mail.
That’s not to say the grumpy “AI” judge is beyond a little youthful tweaking. “I've had Botox, but not in an obsessive way. Then again, every guy I know who works in the city has had it now."
While in the mood to dispel rumors, Simon even gave the Daily Mail the final word on the longstanding gay buzz. And — sorry, fellas — it looks like that five-year relationship with “Extra” correspondent Terri Seymour is more than just subterfuge.
"If I was (gay), why hide it? It's not as if the music business would be an odd place for a gay man to work,” Simon countered. And anyway, if I was trying to hide the fact that I was gay, I would be off playing rugby every Saturday, wouldn't I?"

Thom Stone resigned from Amy’s tour after doctors found that the secondhand heroin he inhaled on Amy’s tour bus made it into his system, reports the U.K. Sun.
“(Thom) insisted to the management team that the only way that could have happened would have been through inhaling it from Blake and Amy,” a Sun source reported
Walking out just a day after Amy’s Birmingham on-stage meltdown, Thom claimed Amy and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil (currently behind bars) were harmful to his health. “Thom just had it up to here,” the insider said. “It was a nightmare job."
