Tracy Morgan apologizes for anti-gay tirade

But on June 26, Morgan got in trouble again. This time, E! News reports, he told a crowd at Caroline's comedy club in New York not to "mess with women who have retarded kids" and claimed "young retarded males" are "strong like chimps."

He then moved on to a bit about a girl he called a "cripple," and E! reports the crowd audibly groaned.

Should comedy steer away from insulting people? Isn't pushing the envelope part and parcel of being a comedian? Or does it depend on how it's done? Many comics get laughs without mocking others, but where do you draw the line?
