TikTok star Addison Rae Easterling has been cast in the upcoming remake of the 1999 teen comedy "She's All That."

The gender-swapped reboot, titled "He's All That," has been in the works for years and recently started to gain traction again. Mark Waters, the filmmaker behind "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday," is set to direct.

The film will reimagine the plot from a teenage girl's perspective, with Easterling taking on a role inspired by Freddie Prinze Jr.'s character Zackary Siler from the original. "She's All That" -- a modern-day take on George Bernard Shaw's "Pygmalion" and the 1964 movie "My Fair Lady" -- centered a popular high school jock who, after getting dumped by his girlfriend, attempts to transform one of the school's nerdy outcasts into the next prom queen.

"He's All That" puts a 21st century spin on the original, with the remake following an influencer who attempts to turn a nerdy boy into prom king.

R. Lee Fleming, who wrote the 1999 movie, will pen the remake. Fleming is reuniting with "She's All That" producers Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay, who worked together on the film's development more than 20 years ago. Miramax, the studio that released the original movie, will produce the upcoming version as well.

"This reboot is a welcomed step towards a new generation of Miramax storytelling, part of our greater strategy to leverage our existing library with fresh, re-imagined content in both film and TV," said Miramax CEO Bill Block.

Who is Addison Rae Easterling?

Easterling has 60 million followers on TikTok, making her the second-most followed person on the social media platform. After her popularity on the app skyrocketed, the 19-year-old moved to Los Angeles and signed with talent agency WME. A recent Forbes report estimated that Easterling is the highest-paid TikToker, amassing $5 million last year from various endorsement deals. The casting makes Easterling one of the first TikTok stars to act in a major studio film.

Robert Iscove directed the original "She's All That," which also starred Rachael Leigh Cook, Paul Walker, Kieran Culkin, Anna Paquin, Usher and Gabrielle Union. Though it wasn't a critical favorite, "She's All That" went on to earn over $100 million worldwide at the box office.

Easterling is repped by WME, Nixon Peabody and The Lede Company. Waters is repped by UTA's Jeremy Barber.
