"American Horror Story" fans are going to get twice as much of star Sarah Paulson than in previous seasons when the show returns for season four this fall. That's because the actress is going to be playing two characters.

Paulson made the big reveal on Twitter Thursday, sharing a photo of herself in character as what appears to be Siamese twins Bette and Dot.

Sounds a bit freaky, right? Maybe, but it all fits! After all, this is "AHS" we're talking about, and the title of the season is "Freak Show."

Co-creator Ryan Murphy said earlier this year that the season would be set in 1950s Florida, and would star Jessica Lange as a German ex-pat managing one of the last freak shows around. Other "AHS" stars returning in new roles as performers in the carnival include Evan Peters, Frances Conroy, Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett, though their roles have not yet been revealed.

Murphy did tell Entertainment Weekly that there would be "a character named the Clown Killer ... the most terrifying clown ever," as well as the show's own version of a bearded lady.

The show boss also hinted to the magazine that season four is not going to be a lighter season, as he had originally thought. "It's turning out to be quite terrifyingly dark," he teased.

"AHS" returns to FX this fall.
