Actress Sarah Jessica Parker, known internationally for her leading role in HBO’s “Sex and the City,” said Friday she may consider another television series down the track.

Parker played columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the hit HBO series that ran from 1998 to 2004 and chronicled the lives of four young women in New York. It earned her several awards but Parker has concentrated on movie roles since the show ended.

“I didn’t say no more television ever. I just said not at this time,” Parker, 41, told Reuters in an interview.

“I would say that for the near future, I think doing films is much better for my son as it is a finite period of commitment. It is better for my husband, it is better for my life as a parent and gives me time to be a businesswoman.”

The New York-based actress is married to actor Matthew Broderick, 44, and they have a 3-year-old son James.

“I’m producing television but I can’t see me being in it for the time being,” she said.

This year Parker starred with Matthew McConaughey in the hit romantic comedy “Failure to Launch.”  In 2005, in her first major post-series film role, she appeared in “The Family Stone.”
