Hey, Girl (Scouts)! Ryan Gosling is looking after you -- or he was. During a Wednesday night visit to "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the actor revealed his one-time random act of kindness for a couple of girls in green.

It seems Gosling really feels for young salespeople after his own father tasked him with selling off of "a truckload" of cellophane when he was just a kid.

"I was taking it to school in my backpack, trying to sell it to the kids at school," he explained.

Not surprisingly, he didn't have much luck.

"I had a fantasy that one day someone would buy all of it," the "Gangster Squad" star recalled. "Like some guy would just come along and be like, 'I'll take 'em all,' which never happened."

So when he spotted a couple of Girl Scouts trying to unload their cookies outside of a supermarket, Gosling decided he'd be the "I'll take 'em all" guy.

"I didn't realize how many boxes I was going to have," he told Kimmel. "I had a car full of them, and I didn't know what to do. I started just throwing them out the window to people on the street. … I was like, 'This must be what Santa Claus feels like.'"

Or maybe not.

"Then I looked at this one person who looking at me, and I realized through their eyes, I wasn't Santa Claus," he said. "I was just a creepy cookie guy."

Leaving strangers to wonder, "Who is this guy?" and "What happened to the Girl Scouts?" he joked.
