First Kelly Ripa ripped Clay Aiken. Now Rosie O’Donnell is firing back at Kelly.

Kelly went off on Clay earlier this week after the “American Idol” alum made a guest appearance on last Friday’s “Live with Regis and Kelly.” Kelly said Clay was hostile towards her during his guest-hosting gig and took exception to Clay putting his hands over her mouth during an interview.

“I don’t know where that hand has been,” Kelly snapped.

Little did Kelly know her comment would start a feud with one of her fellow morning show divas.

Rosie fired back at Ripa on Tuesday’s “The View,” calling Kelly’s comment “homophobic.”

“To me, that’s a homophobic remark,” Rosie said. “If that was a straight man, if that was a cute man. If that was a guy who she didn’t question his sexuality, she would’ve said a different thing. I was offended by that … I guarantee if that was Mario Lopez, she would not have said the same thing.”

However, most of Rosie’s “The View” co-hosts defended Kelly, saying they didn’t think it was a big deal.

When Kelly heard Rosie’s comments, she immediately called in to “The View” and fired back at Rosie.

“You know how I feel. You have to be more responsible. Not everything is homophobic,” Kelly scolded Rosie.

Ripa insisted the comment was based on the fact it was “cold and flu season” and Clay had been shaking hands with audience members.

“It was outrageous, it was out of line and unprofessional. I treat my co-hosts with dignity and respect and that was never shown to me,” Kelly said of Clay’s behavior.

“From where I sit as a gay person in the world, that’s how it came off to me,” Rosie explained.

Interestingly, Clay has never made any public comments about his sexuality.

“Are you going to invite him back?” Joy Behar interjected.

“That’s not up to me. That’s up to the producers but for me, it’s water under the bridge,” Kelly said. “I forgive him even if he doesn’t apologize.”

Meanwhile, Regis Philbin says he’s shocked Kelly and Clay didn’t hit it off.

“In my wildest dreams would I ever think that one day you would have a feud with Clay Aiken,” Regis joked.
