Rosie O’Donnell says that she and longtime partner Kelli Carpenter are working on their “issues.” So, could a long-rumored split actually be looming for the longtime couple?

“We’re a family. We will remain a family forever. And we are working on our issues,” O’Donnell told USA Today.

The former talk show host, 47, would not confirm a report that Carpenter, 42, had moved out of their Nyack, N.Y., home and relocated to New York City. Carpenter was reportedly not present at their home during the interview.

“We’re a family, we remain a family and we’re working on the issues,” O’Donnell said, explaining that their four children, Parker, 14, Chelsea, 12, Blake, 9, and Vivienne were their main concern.

“They’re adorable and wonderful and they are by far a priority,” O’Donnell said. “Kelli and I love each other very much and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever. And that is something that has been agreed upon by all parties.”

O’Donnell, who reportedly got emotional during the interview with tears welling up in her eyes, added, “But everything’s fine and everybody’s good and we’re still both raising them together. We will both continue to parent them and we’re friendly and everything’s all right.”

O’Donnell and Carpenter were married in a non-state-recognized ceremony in San Francisco in 2004.
