It looks like Billy Ray Cyrus’ tell-all media tour may be coming to an end. He’s already tweeted about his parental concerns and shared plenty of quoteworthy family tidbits with one magazine, but the famous father’s scheduled appearance on “The View” has been canceled.

According to PopEater, Miley Cyrus decided it was time to put the brakes on Dad’s TV plans and prevent more all-too-public private talk.

“When Miley found out her father was scheduled to appear on 'The View' on Wednesday (Feb. 23), she went nuts,” a family friend revealed. "Only last week, Billy shot his mouth off in GQ, and now he planned to sit down with (Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg) and talk more crap about his family. No way would Miley or her team let that happen."

Just how the 18-year-old singer convinced the elder Cyrus to give up his moment in “The View” spotlight remains a mystery. Of course, she could have used his last interview, complete with those now-famous “Hannah Montana” regrets, as part of a convincing argument.

“At first Miley defended her dad (about the GQ tell-all), wanting to believe he had been tricked into saying bad things by the magazine,” another source told PopEater.

But following that with a well-publicized daytime television appearance might have seemed less like a trick and more like a trend.
