Tara Reid was uncharacteristically well-behaved at her 30th birthday party — and it may be because her mother was there, making sure she didn’t get into trouble.
“She wasn’t falling all over the tables like she sometimes does,” says one attendee, a regular at such events. “It might have something to do with the fact that her mom was sitting there eagle-eyeing her all night.”
At one point, Reid took to the drums and started jamming away. “She was wild and swinging her hair back and forth and the crowd was really getting into it,” reports the source. “She turned around to freakdance with some guy and a hand reached out and pulled her away. It was her mom.”
The source adds that Reid was wearing a red dress that “actually covered her up, she didn’t have body parts sticking out all over.” What’s more, “it seemed that pretty much none of Tara’s celebrity friends showed up for the party.”
The bash was held at the L.A. club Mood, while a number of boldface names, including Nicole Richie, Rose McGowan, and Leonardo DiCaprio were at a nearby party at a place called Privilege. So, after a while, says the source, Reid went to that party. No word on whether her mom followed her there.

The model-turned-talk-show-host confronted her rival on her talk show and tells the notoriously hot-tempered Campbell that she’s a big reason that Banks left the business.
“I was tired of having to deal with you,” Banks tells Campbell in an episode scheduled to air this Friday. “I was tired of constantly hearing that I got canceled from this job or that, or hearing that this photographer was called, or that magazine was called and [told] not to use me."
Banks says that she plans to launch a “sisterhood movement” and that one of the reason she confronted Campbell on air “is because sisterhood is so important to me. I feel like women hate on each other — we're jealous....and it has to stop."
