Channing Tatum encourages others with ADHD: 'Don't look at it as a disability'

While promoting the stripper movie "Magic Mike XXL," the actor reflected on a few family-friendly topics.

"Magic Mike XXL" may have earned its "R" rating from the MPAA, but star Channing Tatum managed to reflect on a few G-rated topics during his Monday "Ask Me Anything" Q&A on the website Reddit.

Then again, "Magic Mike XXL" is about strippers, so it was only a matter of time before nudity was discussed. Here are five things we learned from Tatum's AMA.

1. After initially choosing "Magic Mike" as his favorite movie he's appeared in, he changed his answer to "Step Up" — for an obvious reason.

When someone wondered if the Amanda Bynes vehicle "She's The Man" is the movie he's most proud to be in, Tatum mulled his options, then remembered his relationship status. "[My] favorite movie that I've been a part of is 'Magic Mike,' wait scratch that. it's 'Step Up.' Where I met my wife," he replied. "Because if I don't say that my wife will kill me."

2. He encouraged people with ADHD: "Don't look at it as a disability."

As someone who has spoken on the record about his Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder diagnosis, Tatum offered support to people living with the condition. "Whatever you do don't look at it as a disability," he replied, "and hopefully whatever is helping you understand it will show you the great things about how you can use it to your benefit and not just feel like you have some curse upon you."

3. His favorite Disney character is "the broom from Fantasia."

I mean, it only makes sense. It's shirtless and getting quite a workout while carrying all those pails back and forth.

4. He's thrilled about the success of his buddy, Chris Pratt

Asked about the last picture he took on his phone, Pratt turned the question into an opportunity to celebrate one of his non-"Magic Mike" bromances.

"I was going into a meeting and there was a TV on the wall playing CNN and they were talking about Jurassic World shattering box office openings so I sent that to my buddy Pratt," he replied. "I'm just really proud of him, happy for him."

5. His ideal superpower? "I wish that I could make anyone at any point just happen to be naked."

"Not for the reasons that everyone thinks," he noted. "Because people get really nice when they get naked. Like okay, I can't be [a jerk]. People aren't [jerks] when they get naked (for the most part). They are thinking about what they look like."

Either way, TODAY's Al Roker, Willie Geist and Tamron Hall had a field day with that reply Tuesday.

"He has that power now!" said Hall, who had a chance to gauge the matter when she chatted with Tatum in October.

Before the AMA questions started rolling in Monday, Tatum mentioned his charity auction, whose winner will join him at a red-carpet premiere of "Magic Mike XXL." That auction, which benefits the Runa Foundation, also was tied into a viral video in which a disguised Tatum pranks a bunch of "Magic Mike" fans.
