So it was a bit of a bummer to see "Karate Kid" star Ralph Macchio's pro partner Karina Smirnoff take a tumble during the pair's paso doble on Monday night. They recovered reasonably well, but overall, the dance was just not that good. (The spatula hands were back in full force, and Ralph made the strangest faces.) So it was a bit surprising when the judges revealed a set of triple 8s for their score.

Compare it to Kirstie Alley and pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy's fall and rebound during their April 4 rumba. They recovered more gracefully than Ralph and Karina. However, the judges appeared to have docked more points for Maks' charley horse, giving them three 7s.

Which recovery do you think was worse? And how would you have scored the two dances?
