It's a brand new day for Rainbow Brite and her cast of colorful characters! And this time, Molly Ringwald and Emily Osment are coming along for the ride.

Subscription video on demand service Feeln announced Tuesday that it is reviving the beloved animated series, which was originally created by Hallmark in 1983 and turned into a TV series and movies that aired from 1984-1986. Fresh episodes are set to launch in early November exclusively on Feeln.com, and will feature the voices of "Young & Hungry" actress Osment as Rainbow Brite, and Ringwald as main bad gal The Dark Princess.

Brite, along with her friends the Color Kids, were a relatively early attempt for a non-programming company like Hallmark to get into the licensing, toy and TV biz. But the upbeat, colorful series took off in syndication and incorporated upbeat messages of learning alongside little-girl TV bait: namely, rainbows and horses.

"With Rainbow Brite, we believe we have created something that captures the essence of the original series — but with a vision that resonates today," said Iris Ichishita, head of original entertainment for Feeln, in a statement. "We hope audiences will react with an 'oh my bows!' — just like us."

New episodes debut on Nov. 6 at Feeln.com, and fans can also check in on the Kids' doings on Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr.
