Let the countdown officially begin!
After a jam-packed week in Canada, Prince William and Kate Middleton received a royal sendoff this afternoon by way of an official departure ceremony (featuring a 21-gun salute!) at Calgary Rotary Challenger Park.
Which means the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are now airborne and on their way to L.A.!

But before taking flight, the two managed to squeeze in a couple more events into their already busy schedules.
Dressed from head-to-toe in cowboy gear, Will and Kate kicked off the annual Calgary Stampede Parade this morning by traveling 14 blocks through the city as some 425,000 people lined the streets to catch a glimpse of Their Royal Highnesses. The duo later sat and watched the celebration, which included dozens of bands, floats and about 850 horses.
Then it was on to a reception at the ENMAX Conservatory, Calgary Zoo, Botanical Gardens and Prehistoric Park, where it was announced that a Government of Alberta scholarship had been created in honor of the Duke and Duchess's visit to Alberta.
And, finally, the aforementioned departure ceremony.
So now, with their trip to Canada behind them, it's off to Tinseltown.
Here's hoping Will and Kate get a chance to snooze on the plane, because when they touch down, they'll be hitting the ground running.
And we'll be right there for all the action as our livestream of the couple's arrival begins today at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT from LAX International Airport.
But the fun doesn't stop there. E! Online will also be livestreaming again on Saturday at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m PT from the BAFTA Brits to Watch 2011 event, where the royals will be hobnobbing with the likes of Tom Hanks and Nicole Kidman.
Exciting stuff, people!
