Amy Schumer turned 40 this year and decided to freshen up with facial fillers. But according to the star, the plumping procedure didn’t leave her looking better or younger.
It left her looking like a Disney villain.
So the actor and comedian then decided to get rid of the those fillers and get real with her fans and followers on social media.
On Sunday, Schumer took to Instagram to share a photo from that follow-up procedure.
“I tried getting fillers. Turns out I was already full,” she wrote alongside the pic, which showed her with what appears to be a numbing cream on her cheeks. “Thank God you can dissolve them. I looked like #malificent.”
Considering that “Maleficient” star Angelina Jolie required prosthetics and hours in a makeup chair to bring the character’s larger-than-life and razor-sharp cheekbones to the big screen, that’s really saying something.

Schumer’s message ended with a note of thanks to Dr. Jodi LoGerfo, who, on her own Instagram, revealed that the filler reversal was a “very simple and quick treatment” accomplished by using “an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid.”
But in the comments that followed Schumer’s post, most people stressed the fact that the entertainer had no need for fillers in the first place.
“You are so beautiful!” friend and fellow actor Isla Fisher wrote. “No fillers needed.”
While nearly 2,000 others liked that comment and many more echoed similar sentiments, others asked why Schumer turned to fillers at all. And the mom of two, who underwent a hysterectomy and appendectomy in September, due to endometriosis, shared the simple answer.
“Something about this year,” she wrote. “Turning 40, all my surgeries. I want to feel the best I can about myself. It’s a lifelong thing. I got lipo and had a great experience doing that.”
And she acknowledged there was a time she wouldn’t have had such a casual attitude about cosmetic procedures.
“I used to be really judgmental about people getting work done," she continued. "Now I’m like, do everything you can to love yourself exactly as you are. But once you turn 40 and have a C-section, do whatever the f--- will make you feel best!"

The fillers, however, didn't leave her feeling her best, and in response to another supportive comment, Schumer revealed she felt some pressure to do it — though she didn't say whether the pressure came from the entertainment industry, a doctor or her peers.
She simply noted that it was "crazy how quickly I was talked into it!"
Still, her followers cheered her on for eventually talking herself out of it and getting the fillers dissolved.
