PJ Harvey and Le Tigre will add a potent dose of female rock muscle to this summer’s Lollapalooza tour, sources told Billboard.com.
The acts join previously announced performers Morrissey, Sonic Youth, Modest Mouse, Flaming Lips, Gomez, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, the Polyphonic Spree and String Cheese Incident. Dates get underway July 14 outside Seattle.
PJ Harvey will release its next album, “Uh Huh Her,” June 8 via Island. The Polly Jean-Harvey led act will be on the road in Europe prior to Lollapalooza, including a headlining set at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival in late May.
Le Tigre is at work on its debut album for Strummer/Universal, which is being targeted for a late summer or early fall release. The lone date on the group’s schedule at present is May 2 at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif.
