Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are starring in the fourth season of their reality show (“The Simple Life 4: Till Death Do Us Part”) — but don’t expect to see the feuding former friends cozy again.

Hilton and Richie filmed their scenes separately, and now Hilton has blasted her ex-best buddy as “jealous” and “pathetic” — and has even said that Richie “looks horrible.”

“She cannot stand being around me because I get all the attention and people really don’t care about her,” Hilton said, reports IMDB.com. “It breaks my heart. She was my sister. She was the funniest, best person to be around and then she let fame go to her head. She’s not the same person any more. I never want to speak to her again — ever.”  She continued: “I’ve been best friends with her since I was two, but when I brought her onto my show, she got very jealous and turned on me for no reason.”

Hilton even commented on Richie’s recent thinness: “That’s not normal,” she said. “I can’t believe it. She looks horrible. It’s really sad.”

Britney looks to actingWill Britney Spears turn to acting?

The “Oops, I Did It Again” singer’s music career has been on hold, but the buzz is that Spears wants to focus on acting.

Despite mixed reviews for her 2002 flick “Crossroads,” after her recent stint on “Will and Grace” Spears is hoping to become a TV star, reports In Touch Weekly.

The show’s Megan Mullally told the mag that Spears was “fantastic” to work with — adding that she’s invited the pop star to be a guest on her new talk show.

Producers were “pleasantly surprised” by Spears’ acting skills, an insider told the mag — and the source also claims that the show’s co-creator, Max Mutchnick, is hoping to snag Spears a spot on one of his other shows currently in development, or even a sitcom of her own.

If those plans falter, Spears has plenty of charity work on her hands. She’s been running free-of-charge hip-hop classes for 7- to 12-year-olds at Malibu Academy of Dance.

Notes from all overMel Brooks’ “The Producers” was a massive hit on Broadway, so now the famed director is thinking of taking his 1974 flick, “Young Frankenstein,” to the stage. Brooks told “The Young Turks” Sirius satellite radio show that he’s planning a 2007 opening for the stage version of the hit movie that starred Gene Wilder.  . . . Reporters at a press conference were told not to ask surfer Kelly Slater about rumors that he’s dating Leonardo DiCaprio’s former flame Gisele Bundchen. When the model’s name came up, he stormed out of the room.  . . .  When Rolling Stone asked “24” tough guy Kiefer Sutherland what was the last movie he cried at, he replied: “The last movie I cried at? Oh, [bleep]. Oh, I’ll be honest with you. Oh, [bleep], I don’t know if I can. Oh, well. I think it was ‘Love, Actually.’ Yeah. I’m no different than anybody else.”
