Oprah Winfrey doesn't mess around in her upcoming interview with troubled actress Lindsay Lohan. "Are you an addict?" Winfrey asks "The Canyons" star in a teaser from their upcoming chat on "Oprah's Next Chapter."

Viewers aren't shown Lohan's response, but Winfrey is really just warming up.

"What does it feel like to be both an adjective and a verb for 'child star gone wrong'?" Winfrey is then seen to ask.

The cute child star grew into a Hollywood bombshell — with grownup problems of her own.

Again, there's no response shown from Lohan — but that's what makes the clip a "teaser." Winfrey and crew are hoping curious fans will tune in to "Oprah's Next Chapter" on Aug. 18 at 9 p.m. on the talk-show host's OWN channel and find out how the actress responds.

The OWN network also is preparing an eight-episode documentary series about Lohan's life after she left a Malibu, Calif., rehab center in July. That series will air sometime in 2014.
