Looks like the feud between Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera really is over.
The “Dirrty” singer bought a $570 gift bag for Spears’ new son, according to Life & Style. An assistant helped pick up the bag, which included a hooded towel, overalls, slippers and a crockery set, reports the mag.
The goodies will be added to the lavish room little Sutton Pierce shares with older brother Sean Preston, which according to L&S cost Spears $100,000 to redecorate in blue with nautical themes and a large SPF — the initials of both tykes — stenciled on the wall.
“Britney worked with two designers to make the nursery state of the art,” a friend told the mag. “She told the decorators to spare no expense. She’s indulging herself and her new son. This is definitely the most joyous time of her life.”
Presidential pranksterBill Clinton had some fun at Michael Douglas’ expense, ribbing the 63-year-old actor about his 25-years-younger wife.
“Most of you will have no way of knowing this, but I admire Michael Douglas very, very much and I was delighted when I heard he was going to be here tonight,” said Clinton told a crowd in London, where he was the speaker for a charity. “I was delighted to see him earlier today and delighted that he and Catherine Zeta-Jones married and I realized he would be well cared for in our old age.” Clinton is a couple of years younger than Douglas.
The former president, who received a standing ovation from the crowd both before and after his talk, also quipped that he was so impressed with Douglas’ performance as a president in the 1995 flick “The American President” he got the actor to swap places with him in the receiving line.
I tried to persuade him to stay there for an hour so that I could have a break,” joked Clinton, “but he had no trouble saying no to the president.”
Notes from all overTony Danza has split with his wife Tracy, the National Enquirer is reporting. The story, which was confirmed by the spokeswoman for the “Who’s the Boss” star, says that the pressure of Danza’s cancelled talk show took a huge toll on the couple’s marriage. . . . Daniel Craig says he knows he’s not the best-looking actor who’s ever played James Bond. “Maybe I’m not the prettiest Bond that’s ever been, and maybe I’m not the suavest,” the star of the upcoming “Casino Royale” tells Parade magazine. “All I can say is there are millions of fans, and I don’t want to let them down. I’ve worked my butt off for this movie. I’m not going to foul it up.” . . . , like so many formerly in-love tattooed stars before her, had a token of love inked on her skin. In her case, a wedding band was tattooed on her ring finger. Now that she’s divorced Matt Moline, her husband of five years, Griffin told Us magazine: “I had it lasered off today.”
