Nicole Kidman wore a dress fit for a queen at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie, “Being the Ricardos.”
The Oscar winner shared a post on Instagram Monday of her red carpet look as well as photos with her fellow co-stars with the caption “So happy to be here xx.”
Kidman, 54, dazzled in a strapless tulle and sequined ballgown from Armani Privé, which she paired with a vibrant red lip color. She completed her outfit with shoes from Jimmy Choo and a watch from Omega.
Kidman revealed in an interview with Variety that playing Ball “was frightening but incredibly exciting.
“I fell in love with her as I was reading the script. I realized what she was doing (was) trailblazing for women,” she said.
The movie follows the lives and relationships of the former Hollywood power couple and is written and directed by Aaron Sorkin. The film focuses specifically on the couple's life during one week of shooting their popular sitcom.
Bardem recalled the first time seeing Kidman as Lucille Ball in a recent interview with Sunday TODAY.
"I was doing my test with wardrobe, the hair, the makeup, and then she came in ... and there was a silence," Bardem told Willie Geist. "They really nailed the look of Lucy Ricardo, no?"
