News anchors resort to miming when audio stops working

WGN's morning anchors had to get pretty creative when they had to work without sound in the broadcast.

When it comes to live TV, sometimes you just have to wing it.

Just ask Chicago WGN Morning News hosts Larry Potash and Robin Baumgarten, who had to turn to writing on whiteboards when the audio went out during the last 15 minutes of their broadcast.

The two danced and playfully expressed their thoughts and feelings using their signs during the live broadcast in order to pass the time.

"Does anyone know any mimes?" Potash wrote.

Baumgarten laughed and danced briefly, unsure of what to do. "Audio not working again. #ugh," she wrote.

This isn't the first time the anchors have had to improvise while their broadcast ran without sound; WGN experienced similar audio problems back in 2014 and the duo had just as much fun working around the issue that time around.

It's clear these seasoned vets know how to work with whatever is thrown their way. We're impressed!
