In the first trailer for Season 4 of Netflix's "House of Cards," (fictional) President Frank Underwood delivers a new campaign ad with a vision for one nation, Underwood, with liberty and justice as he sees fit.

"They say we get the leaders we deserve," Underwood, played by two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey, declares from behind the Oval Office desk. "Well, here's what I think America deserves."

Airing during Sunday's broadcast of the Golden Globe Awards, the phony campaign ad is full of talking points that appear to be virtuous but — thanks to cut-aways that show Underwood's Machiavellian acts and twist his words — reveal a far more devious character than his public persona. His claim, "I believe in putting people first," for example, cuts to moments when he put two adversaries in harm's way (to say the least).

"I say America deserves Frank Underwood," he says. "And in your heart, you know I'm right."

In addition to airing during the award ceremony's commercial break, the one-minute teaser trended on Twitter soon after its Sunday-night posting. Published on Netflix's YouTube page, the same video had been viewed more than 140,000 times as of Monday morning.
