Is there a superhero accessory cooler than the Batmobile? Wonder Woman has an invisible jet, Thor a pretty nice hammer, and Captain America a powerful shield. Still, we say the answer is no. The Batmobile reigns supreme.
That opinion was cemented Wednesday when Zack Snyder, director of "Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice" gave fans their closest look yet at the Caped Crusader’s new ride.
Earlier that day, several unauthorized photos were leaked from the film’s set. The grainy snaps showed the Batmobile looking a bit like Doc Brown’s dusty DeLorean in “Back to the Future,” prompting Snyder to fully reveal the ride, a battle tank-style behemoth complete with gun turret.
Fans seemed pretty pleased with Bruce Wayne's new wheels, although some couldn't resist having a little fun.
But don't go looking for tickets just yet. "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," with Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman, won't open for more than a year and a half. It's scheduled to come to theaters March 25, 2016.
