We can't say we didn't see this one coming.

Meet the latest trainwreck couple to hit MTV: Jennifer Del Rio, featured on the new season of 16 and Pregnant, and her baby daddy Josh Smith, who allegedly attacked her and threatened to have her raped afterward, per explosive court documents obtained by E! News.

Yes, those are the two, um, lovebirds seen attacking each other in the new promo for the coming season of the show.

Per the restraining order petition filed in Hillsborough County, Fla., by Jennifer's father, Hernando, Smith is accused of "harassing and threatening" Jennifer and claiming he "will have [Jennifer] raped."

"Smith has attempted to kidnap children," Hernando alleges, adding that "due to [Smith's] violence [Jennifer] is frightened for her life and children's life." Jennifer, 17, and Josh, 19, are parents to 5-month-old twins Joshua and Noah.

The babies were born on Oct. 11. Less than a month later, on Nov. 4, Smith was arrested for allegedly attacking Jennifer.

At least part of the incident was captured by MTV's camera crew. In a promotional clip, the 220-pound Smith is seen being hauled off in handcuffs while Jennifer screams, "Say goodbye to your kids, Josh, because you will never see them again!"

As a result of that incident he was ordered to complete a domestic violence educational program. He is still enrolled in the classes.

Then on Feb. 21, Hernando Del Rio filed for the restraining order. A temporary order was granted pending a March 21 hearing. However, Jennifer skipped the hearing, leading Hillborough County Judge Christine Vogel to deny the request for a permanent restraining order and the case was closed, per court records obtained by E! News.

It appears that, despite her father's wishes, the couple has reconciled just in time for the April 19 season premiere of the new season.

There's been no comment from MTV, which has taken flak for the violence committed by other Teen Mom/16 and Pregnant stars, including Amber Portwood and Jenelle Evans, who is facing a criminal charge for a vicious attack on another woman that was caught on video and wound up going viral.
