Donny Osmond is about to take a cue from sister Marie and compete for the coveted “Dancing With the Stars” trophy.

Next season’s celebrity contestants have not been announced by ABC, but during a Monday taping of “The Bonnie Hunt Show” scheduled to air on Tuesday, Osmond revealed he would compete on the hit ABC show.

When asked by Hunt if he would ever strut his moves on the dance floor, Osmond, 52, smiled and said, “Well, I guess I am making an announcement. I’ll say I am seriously considering doing it, let’s put it that way.”

Unable to keep the secret in, Donny added, “I guess I just let the cat out of the bag!” Osmond said Marie, who competed on the fifth season of “Dancing” and also appeared on the Monday taping of the talk show, wasn’t going to be the only Osmond in the “Dancing” spotlight.

“I can’t let my sister upstage me. Besides, who do you think taught her how to dance?” he joked.

“That’s not fair!” Marie said. “The men do half the work.” “That’s why I’m doing it, baby,” Donny replied.

“It is going to be very difficult because I am going to be doing [the Osmonds’ Las Vegas show] on top of doing ‘Dancing with the Stars.’”

“I think it is going to be fabulous to watch you on the show, Donny,” Hunt said attempting to calm the sibling rivalry. “We’re gonna love it. You are a natural-born performer.”

“I just want to see him in stretchy pants,” Marie added with a laugh.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for ABC said, “We do not comment on casting rumors.”

“Dancing With the Stars” returns on March 9 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
