It's been a year of ups and downs for country star Miranda Lambert, but it was evidently nothing but good times when she got together with friends to celebrate her birthday.
That's because Lambert, who turned 32 Tuesday, had a storybook birthday bash fit for a tween — or a country queen!
"Never too old to ride a unicorn," she said in an Instagram caption alongside a photo of her doing just that.
Well, actually, she was riding one of her own mares, Sophie. But thanks to her pals, Sophie had undergone a fantastical makeover.

"Thank God for friends that spend the day with you painting your pony!" Lambert wrote.
She added a string of hashtags to the post, including: #unicornsarereal, #glitter and #RealLifeLisaFrank.
Lambert's pony party actually took place the day before her birthday, and it was a big day for ex-husband Blake Shelton, too.
Monday night's episode of "The Voice" marked the first time he and co-coach Gwen Stefani appeared on the show since going public with their romantic relationship.
Lambert and Shelton split in July after four years of marriage.
We wish them well, and wish Miranda a very happy birthday!
