One young fan of Miranda Lambert's wasn't going to let anything stop him from asking his idol an important question.

That included "crashing" a special meet-and-greet before her New Jersey show on Saturday night!

See, young Sebastian had a proposal and a ring all set up for the love of his life and he was lucky enough to get mom to take him to see her perform live. But there was that tricky bit about how he might get a chance to ask for her hand in person. Fortunately, the pair ran into fellow fan Sarah Goddard, who managed to get him into an exclusive "meet and greet" by claiming he was her son.

"He bought the ring himself … his mom said he's been holding on to it since Christmas, waiting for an opportunity to propose to Miranda," Goddard told People.

And Sebastian got right to it, going down on one knee and offering up a ring to Lambert.

Guess what? "I said 'YES'!" Lambert reported on Instagram with a delightful photo of the main moment.

But there's one big caveat: He'll have to wait 25 years before they can tie the knot. You know, when he's 31 and she's 57.

Lambert was clearly flattered, and even talked about it onstage later on. "There’s a little 6-year-old boy somewhere here named Sebastian," she told her audience. "He asked me to marry him and I said, 'Yes, in 25 years.'"

Then she waved around the ring and noted, "it may be my favorite proposal ever."

Of course, Sebastian may have one other hurdle to surmount: Lambert may be taken by then. She divorced Blake Shelton in 2015, and is currently dating another singer, Anderson East.

But we still think Sebastian has a fighting chance.
