Mike Tyson's here, and he's in effect: The former heavyweight champion performed Salt-N-Pepa's 1987 hit "Push It" on an episode of Spike's "Lip Sync Battle" airing later this week.

In a preview clip, Tyson seems more focused on energetic air punches and hip thrusts than the words to the song. However, his outfit is on point; Tyson sports a red leather jacket and gold chain reminiscent of those worn by the female rap trio in the original '80s video.

Tyson is sure to have a fierce opponent in Terry Crews, with whom he'll face off.

At the TV Land Awards, which aired Saturday, the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star performed a lip-sync roundup of classic TV theme songs, during which he serenaded Betty White with "Thank You for Being a Friend," the beloved "Golden Girls" track.

Tyson and Crews' episode of "Lip Sync Battle" airs Thursday.
