When action-movie-man-turned-reality-TV-cop Steven Seagal showed up at the home of Jesus Sanchez Llovera, Llovera wasn’t exactly starstruck. That’s because Seagal was accompanied by Maricopa County deputies, and his very own camera crew, for a raid on the Phoenix resident's property.

According to TMZ, Llovera recently served a notice of claim against the “Steven Seagal: Lawman” star, as well as sheriff Joe Arpaio, for what he believes was an “unfounded” cockfighting raid on his property that allegedly resulted in the death of his dog and significant property damage.

If the raid was unfounded, why does Llovera believe it took place?

“To make good TV for Steven Seagal,” his attorney, Robert Campos told ABC 15.

Now Llovera wants something in return from Seagal. His lawyer told TMZ that he wants the actor to compose a written apology for his kids “for the death of their 11-month-old puppy, a beloved family pet.”

Oh, and money, too. Llovera wants $25,000 from Seagal and a matching sum from the sheriff’s office.

There’s just one problem with Llovera’s dog-related claim. A chief deputy for the Maricopa County sheriff’s department insists the dog didn’t die.

“That’s a fabrication,” David Trombi told ABC 15. “That is just a bunch of crap."

As for Seagal, he told reporters shortly after the raid, “Animal cruelty is one of my pet peeves.”
