Turning 50 is tough enough without your pals letting you down.

The Daily Mirror reports that Madonna rang in her personal half-century mark at a $200,000 birthday bash over the weekend, but told the crowd of attendees she was “really disappointed.”

That sad admission, which was part of a 40-minute birthday speech from the queen of pop, came after Madonna realized some of her celebrity BFFs, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Stella McCartney, were no-shows for the night.

“There are a lot of people who are not here tonight, but thanks to everyone who did make it,” she told the crowd.

Still, her disappointment didn’t last long, as her daughter, Lourdes, 11, performed a song for mom, and husband Guy Ritchie took the podium to tell her, “Out of all your years, you look your most beautiful (now).”

Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. on the "Let's Be Cops," red carpet, Selena Gomez is immortalized in wax and more.

“You could hear her going on and on because she was standing right behind the stage curtain,” one witness told the paper. “She's talking and talking.”

What irritated eager fans even more was that once Tyra ceased the off-stage chatter and laughter, she simply pretended nothing happened.

“She leaves us waiting, and everyone is sitting there complaining, and then she comes out and doesn't say a word about it,” the source said. “She didn't even say hello, she got right into her script. She acted so cold towards everyone.”

Another gripe from the group was that Tyra turned the show’s theme, “Celebrating Black Models, Past, Present, and Future,” into a celebration of herself.

“Tyra kept saying, 'When I was a model,' and would hardly let (the other models) talk,” another audience member told the Post. “It was all about her, as usual.”

It’s that fear of hangers-on that keeps Anne Hathaway on guard. “I have a finely tuned bulls*** detector, and I'm not the sort of person who trusts very easily,” the “Get Smart” star said in a quote posted to Digital Spy. “But it's not specifically an actor thing — anyone in the public eye has that.” … If a recent blog update is any indication, Kanye West has a huge crush on Scarlett Johansson. On Monday, the rapper-producer posted a six-page entry titled “MY FAVORITE WHITE GIRL!!!!!!!” featuring over 100 photos of the actress. … Spending so much time with new mom Salma Hayek has left Penelope Cruz craving a little one of her own. A spywitness for In Touch Weekly overheard the gal pals talking about Penelope’s main man, Javier Bardem, and family plans at the premier of “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.” “I would love to have a baby with him,” Penelope told Salma. “Javier’s mom, Pilar, has been trying her best to settle him down!”
