Usually when there’s a “Lost” controversy, The Others are to blame. This time, not so much.

Scenes from the hit ABC drama were recently… well, lost… when film of the show accidentally went through an X-ray machine at Honolulu International Airport, Access Hollywood has learned.

Security personnel accidentally screened the canisters, despite warning labels asking them not to.

A rep for the show confirmed the report to Access.

While the erased footage will reportedly not affect the broadcast schedule, having to re-shoot the scenes could become an expensive venture.

According to The Honolulu Advertiser, it costs between $1.5 to $2 million to do a full episode, which normally takes eight days to shoot. So if one day’s worth of film was destroyed, the cost could be close to a $200,000 mistake.

The incident reportedly occurred when the film canisters were mistakenly mixed in with passenger luggage and sent through the X-ray machine.
