Losing weight is now a fulltime job for one eliminated 'Loser'

While a one-pound loss might mean diet success at home, on “The Biggest Loser” ranch, it means falling behind the competition. And last week, for Sunny Sinclair, it even meant elimination.

During a Tuesday morning visit to TODAY, Sinclair shared her reaction to that lackluster loss and what she’s doing now to keep the pounds off.

“I was in shock,” she said of the results she saw on the scale. “I was at a loss for words, which doesn’t happen often. But yeah, I was shocked. I was hoping to get into the 100s, and I knew that was going to be the week. And so when I lost only a pound, I was kind of bummed, and I was concerned that I would probably get voted off.”

That proved to be a smart concern. But the competition isn’t quite over for Sinclair. She’s still in the running for the $100,000 at-home prize and even has one-more shot at the finals, thanks to the upcoming second-chance marathon.

So, since starting the competition at 277 pounds and leaving the ranch still just over 200 pounds, Sinclair hasn’t slowed down her weight loss and fitness efforts.

“It’s tough,” she explained. “It’s not easy. I work fulltime — I’m a 5thgrade teacher. I go to boot camps in the morning and then work all day and then go to the gym and work with my trainer and then off to the tennis courts with my tennis trainer. So it’s a long day. And there are mornings when I want to cry when the alarm goes off at 4:30.”

But while she’s no fan of the alarm, Sinclair is happy with the results. She currently weighs in at 176 pounds.

See how the remaining competitors are doing when “The Biggest Loser” airs tonight at 9 p.m. on NBC.
