Another day, another chapter in the Lohan family battle.

Lindsay’s parents, Dina and Michael, headed to a family court in New York on Monday to battle over custody of Lindsay’s three siblings.

But of course the topic on everyone’s mind was the status and location of Lindsay.

“She is in a very good place right now,” Dina said outside of the courthouse, surrounded by swarming photographers.

While mom wouldn’t divulge much information, dad Michael had his own thoughts on where his daughter should be.

“A safe place is with her family, not out in California, that’s for sure,” Michael told “Access Hollywood.”

And while Lindsay’s travails have taken their toll on the entire family, it’s little sister Ali who is being affected the most, Michael said, adding he feels Lindsay has “completely self destructed.”

However Michael, who hasn’t seen his children in two years, seemed optimistic following the court proceedings.

Calling it a “good day,” Michael dropped his motion that would require Dina to be drug tested, and said he wants to try and salvage his relationship with his kids and get them back on the right path.

Dina and Michael are due back in court in September.
