A day after she wore a tight-fitting white dress, and pleaded not guilty to felony grand theft in a Los Angeles courtroom, Lindsay Lohan has proclaimed her innocence via Twitter and Facebook.

“fyi- i would never steal, in case people are wondering,” she wrote on her Facebook, a statement posted in part on her official Twitter account. “I was not raised to lie, cheat, or steal.”

Lohan also lashed out at remarks about her thigh-skimming, form-hugging white dress, which many reports — and 79 percent of the AH Nation — suggested was inappropriate for court.

“what i wear to court shouldnt be front page news. it’s just absurd,” she wrote.

Beyond addressing her legal matters, Lindsay also expressed a longing to be back working once again.

“Was on the phone with my sister&this movie Greenberg is on, i heard my voice which was odd- and ryhs ifans is watching Just My Luck in the movie- made me laugh.. i just want to be on set again, and left alone to just work!” she posted.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Lohan pleaded not guilty to felony grand theft at the Los Angeles International Airport Superior Court on Wednesday afternoon, after she was charged with stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, Calif., jewelry store.

She posted bail on Wednesday and will return to court for another hearing on the matter on Feb. 23.
